The innovation of tomorrow is based on the existence of networks gathering various biomedical research stakeholders. The School of Therapeutic Innovation is one of the shared missions between ARIIS, Aviesan and LEEM, aiming to foster the development of these research networks.
Today, it is essential to build closer links between public and private laboratories, intended to strengthen cross-fertilisation of efforts guided by the same perspective: improve people health. Since 2012, the School of Therapeutic Innovation is a joint undertaking between the LEEM, ARIIS (Alliance for Research and Innovation in the Health Industries), Aviesan (National Alliance for Health and Life Sciences), the Mis’Apprentissage and Inserm (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research). The Laboratory of Excellence in Drug Discovery and Therapeutic Innovation (Labex LERMIT) joined the School of Therapeutic Innovation for the 2016 edition.
Over three days, PhD students and academic/industrial researchers attend some twenty conferences, round tables and workshops on R&D in health. The objective is to help them understand the challenges of industrial development and to become familiar with the complexity of pharmaceutical R&D.
The School of Therapeutic Innovation falls under the framework of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. This agreement aims to make the sector and its trades known to young people and students. Participating in the School of Therapeutic Innovation allows students of the Health and Life Sciences graduate schools to enrich their knowledge about drugs and develop their professional network.
